New Orthopedic Surgical Platform Enhances Hip, Knee Replacement
North Richland Hills –Medical City North Hills has added an elite robotic platform to help patients undergoing knee or hip replacement surgery recover more quickly and be exposed to less radiation.
The new surgical robot offers a minimally invasive option with 3D technology, enabling the physician to precisely map out a surgical plan and individualize treatment based on the patient’s anatomy prior to entering the operating room. Using X-rays to create 3D images of a patient’s unique knee or hip structure and real-time information to monitor any anatomic movements during the procedure, the technology enhances the surgeon’s ability to plan out and place knee or hip implants with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
